✔     anonymously comment to threads of friends, ex-friends, strangers, whoever. use this as an opportunity to get things off of your chest. or spam. or whatever you want, who's stopping you.



✘     don't anonymously start a thread for another user
✘     don't post if you can't take negative comments
✘     keep circlejerking to a miminum

Can anyone tell me why exactly the Da Vinci Code is so hated? I've not seen or read it, but I don't massively want to invest time, money and effort in it if it's total shit. I'm just curious as to why it's provoked such strong reactions is all. Although I kinda feel inclined towards liking it solely because it's so loathed, heh. Not that it isn't also massively popular, but yeah. I could kinda see it being like a Harry Potter thing for me; apparently low brow, most folk I know hate it, massively popular with the general public, and actual genius despite writerly weakness/poor editing etc. Oooor, it could just be total toss ^__^.
